School Meals

The Raise Academy is committed to providing healthy, balanced meal options that offer excellent value for money.  We firmly believe that a nutritious diet supports effective learning.  While we actively promote healthy eating, we also recognise that some children may have specific dietary needs or sensory sensitivities around food.  We work closely with students and their families to create a positive, supportive environment and will always be as flexible as possible.

We are delighted to be working with Caterlink, our catering partner, who freshly prepares and serves all meals on site.  Our menu runs on a two‑week rotation and includes a daily choice of hot meals, vegetarian options, jacket potatoes, sandwiches, a salad bar, and desserts.

Students can also enjoy a free breakfast and breaktime snack through our partnership with Magic Breakfast.

Pupils who choose a school meal can select their option each morning.  Meals cost £2.90 per day, with no charge for pupils eligible for free school meals.  Parents and carers are encouraged to pay in advance via the Arbor Parent Portal or App (https://login.arbor.sc/), available on both Apple and Android devices.

Pupils are welcome to bring a packed lunch from home if they prefer.  We kindly ask that packed lunches and snacks do not include fizzy drinks or sweets.

For information about Free School Meal eligibility, please visit the Halton Borough Council school meals webpages.

Breaktimes and lunchtimes are important opportunities for our students to develop social and interpersonal skills.  Our dedicated staff team is always present to support and engage with pupils, and staff and students eat together.  You’ll often find staff joining in with board games, computer games, football, table tennis, or simply chatting with students during these valuable parts of the school day.
